It would be much appreciated if you could also bring a plate to share as well. This event will be held on Friday 13th May at 11am, in the school hall. End of Year Prizegiving

posted 12 Dec 2021, 17:52 by Matatoki School Office

This year our End of Year Prizegiving will be on Friday 17th December, beginning at 9am and we expect to finish at approximately 11.15am. All students need to be collected at this time.

We had been delaying an announcement on Prize Giving in the hopes that the change to the traffic light system might allow us to invite visitors. Unfortunately schools are remaining at their previous Covid Alert Level Restrictions for the remainder of the year. This means we must run our Prize Giving under the Alert Level 2 restrictions, and we are unable to invite parents, whanau and friends to join us, as we must restrict our numbers and ensure visitors are able to social distance.

Therefore the only guests we will be able to invite are those from our Year 8 families (these families have received a separate notice). Because of Covid we will also not be concluding the day with a shared lunch.

We understand the frustrations this news will cause, but unfortunately we do not have any discretion in the matter. In order to provide our parents, whanau and friends the opportunity to be involved in Prizegiving, we will be live streaming the Prizegiving on our school’s Facebook page and providing a video that can be watched at your convenience. For families who do not have access to Facebook, but would like a copy of the video, please email office@ma

Unusual Times

posted 30 Jun 2020, 20:06 by Matatoki School Office

As we approach the end of Term 2 it is interesting and rewarding to look back on what were very unusual times.  As a team,  we kept the children’s learning going and well-being positive, during Lockdown.  You can all be proud of your efforts and how the children came back to school so settled and ready to get on with regular school life.

We look forward to a busy Term 3, and with being at Level 1 some regular activities/events happening.  We can look forward to the Science Roadshow at THS, School Disco, Cross Country, Thames Valley Cross Country, E Pro 8, National Young Leaders Day and the Tough Guy & Gal Challenge.

Have a wonderful holiday with your children and we look forward to seeing you again for Term 3.
