Message From the Principal

Kia ora! Ngā mihi nui, ngā mihi mahana ki a koutou,

Warm greetings to you all!

My name is Hine Viskovich. It is a great privilege to be the Principal of Matatoki School. I lead teaching and learning, and am supported by a dedicated and competent teaching team, as well as a stable and invested Board of Trustees.

At Matatoki we enjoy a very supportive community. An important role for me is to strive to strengthen and grow our partnerships with whānau and the community, to provide the very best opportunities and learning experiences for our students.

Ensuring equitable outcomes for all students is paramount. This is ensured by having authentic and meaningful relationships with every child's whānau. Whanau partnerships means we can work collaboratively to achieve the very best for every student, and best support them to achieve their potential; academically and socially.

As a school leader it is my priority to support my teachers to develop the expertise, knowledge and pedagogies, to build their professional capacity and be the most important learning resource our students will have access to. I achieve this through being a mentor, coach, facilitator and a fellow life long learner.

  • End of Year Prizegiving This year our End of Year Prizegiving will be on Friday 17th December, beginning at 9am and we expect to finish at approximately 11.15am.
